The oscar goes to...

In general I would describe myself as a slightly above average happy person. Therefore I love quite many things. The biggest, highest and most stunning crush I have has been part of my life for many years and the older I get, the deeper I fall in love with.... Mountains.
Mountains come in every size and shape: they can be high, low, sharp, rocky, gentle, soft, steep, easy to climb, hard to get... I don't know what it is, but looking at a mountain range is making my heart raise and calming me down at the same time. Doesn't that sound like the best lover ever?
My passion probably started at the age of three, which is when my parents took me skiing for the first time. Later we went on hiking trips in the Alps around Como, Italy, where we spent most of our summer holidays. Hiking in the mountains is my favorite workout. Last year I started cycling in the mountains, a form of exercise I want to improve in the near future. For my 25th birthday my parents gave me a mountain climbing course and my guts are telling me that soon I will add climbing to my favorite outdoor activities.
So whatever I do in the mountains- hiking, cycling, running, climbing or simply enjoying the view- I want mountains to be a part of my life for all times and never ever go a day without seeing them.
As I am a student and therefore forced to live in cities, I made sure of my goal and  got three mountains permanently printed on my skin. The tattoo is small and well hidden, but I see it every day- goal completed!
Before I get lost in my mountain obsession it's time to finish this post and study a bit.

Hike on and write soon,
Johanna

What's the story?

As a 25 year old female Marketing student in her Masters it is kind of mandatory to start blogging.. Or not? Well, dear reader, feel free to skip what bores you.
This is my first blog's first post and therefore I feel like I have to explain what I am doing here.
Well, my friend Leanne just told me: write something worth doing or do something worth writing. Personally I love doing things and decided to write about them (shocking title: Johanna loves...)
What those things are will be the content of my upcoming posts. I love what I do, do what I love and when I don't I'll plan my next adventure.
There is a reason behind this blog. I see it as a part of something I would love to do in my near future. Details will be published as soon as I have the courage!

Time to hit the bed. Peace out and write tomorrow.

Johanna
